Welcome to the website of AgileHolland.
Submitted by MichaelFranken on 12 April, 2008 - 09:51.Welcome to AgileHolland.
We're an independent not-for-profit organisation of Agile practitioners in the Netherlands. It's our mission to promote Agile practices and principles in order to achieve better results faster.
This website although mainly in Dutch, is bilingual, and we're asking volunteers to translate the most interesting parts in Dutch.
We are running a few forums. We gather and produce articles and we're keeping tracks of events in and outside the Netherlands.

Value-Driven Development - Agility is the Tool, Not the master by Tom Gilb
Submitted by vgrgic on 20 July, 2010 - 13:31.The article: http://www.gilb.com/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=431 is really worth reading.
It is a fundamental opinion / critique on the way we apply Agile Manifesto and I really wonder what is your opinion on this and I'm looking for some spicy discussion. Maybe Tom himself will join in.
His main message is that you can have happy customers, but still fail. The reason is lack of attention for stakeholders value. In other words, quantified business improvements.

Meetup with Lyssa Adkins: What is an agile coach, really? - 26 May in Amsterdam
Submitted by marcevers on 10 May, 2010 - 08:37.On the evening of Wednesday 26 May, we will organize a meetup on agile coaching with Lyssa Adkins:
What is an agile coach, really?
More and more frequently, ScrumMasters and project managers are being asked to coach agile teams. But it's a challenging role. It requires new skills - as well as a subtle understanding of when to step in and when to step back. Migrating from "command and control" to agile coaching requires a whole new mind-set.
This leaves many wondering, “What is my role in a self-organized team? How do I help the team yet stay hands-off?” Many respond by going too far to either extreme. This session turns these questions into answers, and answers into action by offering provocative views into coaching done well and practical ways to get there by adapting skills from professional coaching, conflict management, teaching, collaboration and more.
In this session, we will explore these topics:
- Key mindset shifts successful agile coaches achieve
- What skills from allied disciplines do agile coaches bring to their teams?
- Ways to measure your success and improvement as a coach
As an agile coach, you can help project teams become outstanding at agile, creating products that make them proud and helping organizations reap the powerful benefits of teams that deliver both innovation and excellence. Come see how.
