Agile Holland Meetup - Midsummernight Method Madness

Op dinsdagavond 31 augustus organiseert Agile Holland een meetup bij Ericsson in Rijen, met als thema Midsummernight Method Madness. Eelco Gravendeel, Remi-Armand Collaris en Eef Dekker zullen op deze avond hun visie geven op het combineren van verschillende (Agile) project methodieken/frameworks.

19:00 Remi-Armand Collaris & Eef Dekker: Methodologies as toolboxes: choosing your tools from XP, Scrum, RUP and PRINCE2

Many organisations feel they have to choose between methodologies. With this goal in mind, they ask for comparisons to support the choice of one methodology. But do they ask the right question? Why do comparisons of methodologies often miss the point? What are the elements on which a comparison of XP, Scrum, RUP, PRINCE2 and TMAP does make sense? Is implementing one single methodology the way to go? This workshop will show what misinterpretations of the aforementioned methodologies exist, where they overlap and where they can complement each other. The axes of comparison will be 1. the discipline(s) addressed by the methodology, and 2. the timeframes (daily, per iteration, per release, per project) addressed by the methodology.
